Becoming

Title: Becoming
Author: Michelle Obama
Release Date: November 13, 2018
Genre: Biography, Autobiography, Memoir
Standalone: Of course

This is an autobiographical book by Michelle Obama. This book is divided into three parts, the first part is mostly about Michelle Obama's childhood and ends with how she met Barack Obama. The second part is about her relationship with Barack Obama, political career and election. The last part is about family life in the white house and the book ends with the end of Barack Obama's presidency.

The relationship between Michelle Obama and Barack Obama was sweet, romantic. There were moments I was completely captivated by their relationship. However, Michelle Obama also expressed her struggle of being the First Lady of the United States.

I enjoyed it. Michelle Obama is without a question a brave woman. She is strong and admirable.

“Now I think it’s one of the most useless questions an adult can ask a child—What do you want to be when you grow up? As if growing up is finite. As if at some point you become something and that’s the end.”
